A day after the announcement of poll schedule for Lok Sabha elections, the National Conference (NC) almost finalised its list of three candidates from three Lok Sabha constituencies of Kashmir valley.
Top sources in National Conference told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that while the party president and three time former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and senior party leader and former Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Mohammad Akbar Lone have been cleared as candidates for Srinagar and Baramulla Lok Sabha constituencies the new entrant to the party from South Kashmir Peer Mohammad Hussain who recently defected from PDP to National Conference is likely to be be party candidate from Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency.
A top National Conference leader on conditions of anonymity told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that while Farooq Abdullah and Mohd Akbar Lone have been tipped as party candidates for Srinagar and Baramulla Lok Sabha constituencies the new entrant to the party Peer Mohammad is likely to be named as party candidate for Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency.
