Srinagar: Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti Saturday condemned the killing of Pulwama girl who was killed by unknown gunmen on Friday.
Mehbooba while taking to her Twitter handle said that women in Kashmir have faced unimaginable pain and Trauma,‘Women living in conflict areas like Kashmir have faced unimaginable pain & trauma. No words are enough to condemn her gruesome and barbaric murder.’ She tweeted.
Earlier in the day Omar Abdullah also condemned the killing of the 22 year old girl.
Taking to Twitter the National Conference leader termed the murder as horrific which deserved strongest condemnation,“Horrific murder & deserves the strongest condemnation.
There can be no place for such brutal acts in a civilised society & apologists for these murders are just as guilty as the perpetrators.” He tweeted.
On Friday a bullet riddled body of a girl said to be cousin of slain militant commander Zeenat-ul Islam was recovered from Draggad area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police officer while confirming the incident said that the group of suspected militants abducted the girl namely Ishrat Muneer Bhat of Dangerpora Pulwama and was later shot dead from point blank range at Cherbagh area of Draggad in Shopian.
