Questions if nuclear weapons are safe with Pakistan, seeks international intervention
Srinagar, May 15: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ is the biggest ever response against terrorism and that terrorists killed innocents on the basis of ‘dharam’ and action against them was based on their ‘karam’.
Soon after arriving in Srinagar, Rajnath Singh drove to Badami Bagh cantonment where he addressed the soldiers. This is his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ to target terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir to avenge the April 22 Pahalgan attack.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Chief of Army Staff and other top officials also accompanied him.
Addressing the soldiers, Rajnath Singh, said he came to Srinagar as a postman to convey the greetings and appreciation of the countrymen to soldiers’ courage and dedication for successful conduct of Operation Sindoor.
“I believe Operation Sindoor is so far the biggest ever response to the terrorism by India. Terrorists killed innocent people on ‘dharam’ and we have destroyed them for their ‘karam’,” he said.
He added that the PM Modi has redefined the policy against terrorism. “As the agreement has been made, befitting response will be given to Pakistan if there is any kind of violations. No violation will vs tolerated. The action against terrorism will be strict as the Prime Minister has redefined the policy.”
He added that talks and terrorism cannot go together and any talks with Pakistan will be only on Pakistan-Occupied-Jammu Kashmir and terrorism.
Rajnath Singh also questioned whether nuclear weapons are safe with Pakistan, seeking international intervention.(KNO)
