India among very few countries to have its own vaccine; in J&K all district and Sub-District hospitals laced with hi-tech oxygen plants; time for a collective fight against Covid, Congress must join in
Srinagar, May 10: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur Monday stated that Prime Minister Narendera Modi’s serious efforts to contain and defeat the Covid-19 pandemic is being widely hailed at the international level and the parties like Congress and others instead of joining this fight are busy in criticizing the Prime Minister to play vote bank politics at this crucial juncture.
In a statement issued here, Thakur said that it was due to the hectic efforts of PM Modi today, India is effectively fighting Corona pandemic. The JK BJP spokesman said that today while J&K is fighting the Covid on all fronts, it is due to the personal intervention of PM Modi that in all the major and small hospitals, there is a full-fledged oxygen plant fully functional and there is no shortage or dearth of oxygen in the UT as of now.
Thakur said that it was because of the serious efforts of PM Modi that India was one among few countries to produce its own vaccine Covaxin to fight the pandemic and till date, crores of people have been vaccinated. He said PM Modi acted swiftly to Delhi crisis even as preventing death is nothing in anybody’s hands. However, Thakur said that Prime Minister Modi used his good offices to ensure oxygen shortage is curbed to a large extent in New Delhi and today the situation is far better than what it was a few weeks ago.
He said that PM Modi’s efforts are being hailed at the international level and if Saudi Arabia has sent oxygen supplies to India, it was due to the good relations maintained by PM Modi with the country. Today, Thakurs said 40 foreign countries are hailing efforts of PM Modi in curbing the pandemic in India but unfortunately some parties like Congress instead of joining PM Modi’s fight against Corona are engaged in criticizing the Central government and Modi’s policies.
Thakurs said that Covid is not something made by PM Modi but a global crisis to which every citizen must cooperate with the government to win the battle. Thakur urged people across the country irrespective of their political faiths and ideologies to help PM Modi fight the pandemic in a more effective manner stating that it was a collective fight not some individual issue.
