Police on Monday claimed to have foiled a weapon snatching plan of militants by arresting 8 youths in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussain said in a statement that based on credible input that a criminal conspirancy has been hatched by some over ground workers (OGWs) of militants to snatch weapons from policemen on duty eight militant accomplices have been picked up by police in Baramulla, Tangmerg and Srinagar areas.
SSP Baramulla further said in a statement that in this regard a case FIR no. 102/2018 U/S 18,38 UA (P) act has been in police station Tangmerg and further investigation has been taken up.
SSP said that during investigation of matter some recovery of arms and ammunition has been made with the assistance of other security forces including CRPF and Army.
