Srinagar, Nov 11: Police in Bandipora have solved a burglary case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from his possession.

Police Station Bandipora received a complaint from one person from Plan Bandipora stating therein that his marriage function items have been stolen from his house. In this connection, a case vide FIR No184/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Bandipora and investigation was initiated.

Acting swiftly on this complaint, a police team of Police Station Bandipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Bandipora Shri Mohammad Shafat-JKPS comprising of PSI Mushtaq Ahmad & PSI Rakesh Kumar was constituted. During the course of investigation, many suspects were called for questioning and after utilising all available technical/human resources, the investigating team arrested an accused person identified as Umer Altaf Parra son of Mohd Altaf Parra resident of Bagh Bandipora. 

During further questioning, the arrested accused person confessed his involvement in the commission of crime and upon his disclosure stolen items were recovered from his possession. Further investigation is in progress.

Community members have applauded the efforts made by the Police in solving the case. Our consistent actions against the anti-social elements shall re-assure community members that Police has resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any criminal activities.
