After the entire hullabaloo around her allegations against her estranged husband Adil Khan Durrani, Rakhi Sawant is all set to visit Mecca to perform Umrah.
A video of the former ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant surfaced on social media wherein she can be seen in a flight and informing fans about heading to Mecca.
For the unversed, Umrah is a pilgrimage done by Muslims to the holy city of Masjid al-Haram in Mecca. As soon as Rakhi’s video was posted on Instagram by a paparazzo, several netizens bashed her for her act. A user wrote, ‘Had hai bhai ab ye kya naya chochla hai iska’, while another one wrote ‘Chalo isne kahwat poori kerdi.. 100 chuhe khake billi Haj ko chali’. One of the netizens commented, ‘Kal to bol rahi ti ke Adil ne muje zbrdsti muslim dharm qubool karya’, whereas another one criticised her saying ‘Sudhar ja muslim ka naam kharab mt kr’.
Meanwhile, the separated couple again hit headlines recently after Adil Khan Durrani came out of jail and leveled allegations against Rakhi Sawant. The two have faced a lot flak for washing their dirty laundry in front of the media. After tying the knot in 2022, Rakhi and Adil’s relationship fell apart when she accused him of extra-marital affairs, sexual harassment and physical abuse.
