Srinagar, April 12: Police on Saturday seized over 21 vehicles as well challaned 27 other vehicles after receiving complaints of rash driving in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told that in view of complaints of rash driving and to ease out traffic conditions in view of the peak traffic season, a drive against traffic violators was conducted by Sub Division Tangmarg under the direction and guidance of SSP Baramulla.

During the traffic drive 21 vehicles were seized and 27 vehicles were challaned for violations of MV Act, he said.

The commuters visiting the tourists spots of Tangmarg and Gulmarg are advised to follow traffic rules and to subscribe to highest discipline while driving on the Kunzar-Tangmarg-Gulmarg to avoid causing inconvenience to themselves and fellow commuters, the officer added.(GNS)
