The Supreme Court of India has dismissed the Public Interest Litigation challenging the dissolution of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly by Governor Satya Pal Malik.
The PIL was filed by Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Gagan Bhagat.
Reports said that Supreme Court dismissed the petition after noting that there is no merit in the petition. “We are not inclined to interfere (with the decision of the Governor),” a bench comprising Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice S K Kaul said.
