Hurriyat Conference (M) spokesman Advocate Shahidul Islam who was released on a “custody parole” has been lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar jail again, official sources told Greater Kashmir on Thursday.
“Shahid was released on custody parole by the NIA court in February first week for seven days. No one except the family members were allowed to meet him during his stay at his Srinagar residence from 9 am to 5 pm. He was taken to Rajbagh police station for his night stays,” a family source said.
NIA sources said that the parole of Shahid ended on February 8 and due to bad weather he couldn’t be taken back to Delhi.
The source said that Shahid was taken back on Wednesday from Srinagar and that he has reached Delhi where he has again been lodged in Tihar prison. “He is back to his Tihar prison cell,” the source added.
