Five persons including husband-wife duo arrested for immoral activities in North Kashmir
Srinagar, April 25: Police Tuesday said that it busted a ‘sex racket’ in Reshipora village of Handwara that falls under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kralgund.
Police said that the house of one Shabir Ahmed Var son of Ghulam Muhammad Var was raided after receiving information about the immoral activities going on in the said house. Besides the house owner (Shabir Var) his wife (name withheld), two customers, and a sex worker were arrested from the house and cash to the tune of over 47,000 was recovered.
Police identified the two customers as Rayees Lone son of Khazir Lone of Dangarpora Rafiabad Baramulla and Bilal Sheikh, son of Abdul Rehman, a resident of Binner Baramulla.
Police said that an FIR vide number 37/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Kralgund and an investigation initiated. (KNT)
