Barring south Kashmir areas, normal life resumed in rest of the valley on Tuesday after three days of shutdown following a shutdown call by Joint Resistance Leadership against the civilian and militant killings in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
All the shops, commercial establishments, government and private reopened today all over the valley, however, a partial shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district, while Pulwama and Shopian districts are completely closed.
In north Kashmir and Srinagar city, the public and private transport were also back on the roads and there were no restrictions on civilian movement. Meanwhile, colleges and universities all over the valley are closed for precautionary reasons.
