Tral town of Pulwama district in south Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown today on Monday to mourn the killing of a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander in a gunfight with forces on Sunday.
Local sources said that all the shops and business establishments are shut while traffic is also off the roads.
Notably, a top Jaish-e-Muhammad commander, identified as Adnan, was killed in brief encounter Aripal village of Tral town on early Sunday after a joint team of police, CRPF, and army cordoned the village.
In the gunfight, one soldier had sustained injuries in the operation and three civilians were also injured in clashes.
