Family sources have confirmed that the parents of the late Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, are expecting a new addition to their family. Moosewala’s mother, Charan Kaur, is expecting a baby soon, according to a report in Indianexpress.com.
While the late singer’s parents haven’t made an official statement yet, family sources confirmed the news. According to reports, his mother is 58 and father is 60.
Moosewala, who unsuccessfully contested the Punjab Assembly elections on a Congress ticket from Mansa in 2022, was tragically murdered on May 29 of the same year. He was shot dead by assailants in his car on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village of Mansa district.
The singer was really popular, particularly among the youth, and was known for composing and producing his own songs. He was regarded as one of the wealthiest Punjabi singers. Despite his untimely demise, many of his songs have been released posthumously and have raked in millions of views.
A group of assailants shot and fatally wounded the singer in Mansa, Punjab in May, 2022. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical attention. Since Moosewala’s murder, his parents have been leading a movement to seek justice for their son. The music video for his last song prominently displayed a flag with the message “Justice for Sidhu Moosewala”. The lyrics of the song featured his distinctive style, in which he talked about himself.
In 2017, Sidhu Moosewala forayed into the music industry with his first song “G Wagon”, and rapidly rose to fame with a series of popular albums. He received love and admiration for his music, which featured hits such as “Legend”, “So High”, and “The Last Ride”, among others.
