Maintain Calm Do Not Panic, Drill Aimed at Testing Emergency Preparedness, Director SDRF & Civil Defence Urges Public
Srinagar, May 6: Directorate of SDRF and Civil Defence Kashmir has announced that sirens will be heard at multiple locations across the Valley on Wednesday as part of the national mock drill and urged the public not to panic and maintain calm.
Director SDRF and Civil Defence Imtiyaz Hussain told news agency JKNS that the SDRF and Civil Defence will conduct a valley-wide mock drill at 4:00 PM on May 7 to enhance emergency preparedness.
The drill aims to test emergency response systems through a coordinated exercise, he said.
The sirens are part of a scheduled safety drill, and the public should remain calm and not panic. “Your cooperation is essential in making this safety initiative a success,” Imtiyaz said.
