Says no power on earth can curtail rights of poor in J&K forthwith
Srinagar, July 07: Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha on Friday said that some people are trying to mislead public over Land for Landless scheme in J&K and added, “No power on earth can curtail rights of poor in Jammu and Kashmir forthwith”.
LG Manoj Sinha while addressing a function at SKICC, Srinagar said few people are trying to mislead public on land for landless scheme. “This has been the first time centrally sponsored schemes and reservations have been executed in J&K. But unfortunately few people don’t want poor to get benefited. They are misleading poor on Land for Landless issue and are creating confusions in public domain,” LG Sinha said.
“I want to make it clear once again that some people are misleading the public regarding home for homeless scheme. Land is being allotted to those people who are landless and who don’t have their own house. Those who gobbled state land and built houses on that are now misleading people about this home for homeless scheme,” LG Sinha said.
He said it is PM Modi’s dream that every citizen of India should have his own house and land and under this initiative we are providing land to poor and landless people. “I reiterate that no power on earth can curtail rights of poor in J&K forthwith. The dream of PM Narendra Modi’s will be fulfilled,” he said, and added, “The era of injustice and indiscrimination has ended on August 05, 2019”.
It is pertinent to mention that several political parties and leaders including PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, NC Vice-President Omar Abdullah and PC Chairman Sajad Gani Lone expressed their reservations over the move and had asked LG Sinha led government to come clean on the issue. (KNS)
