Farmers advised to harvest fruits
Srinagar, Oct 30: An official of MeT told that fresh Western Disturbance likely to effect J&K and adjoining regions from night of 31st, October, 2022. Under the influence of this system, Light to Moderate Rain in plains and light Snowfall over middle and higher reaches of J&K most likely during 31st October (night) to 1st November (Late afternoon).
Thereafter cloudy weather is expected during 1st November (evening) to 4th November ( Afternoon) with possibility of Light rain/snow at isolated places, he said.
Two another back to back WD’s likely to effect J&K and adjoining areas from 4th November (Afternoon) to 8th November (Afternoon), he said, adding that under the influence of above systems, Light to Moderate Rain/Snow in plains and light to moderate Snowfall over middle and higher reaches of J&K most likely during the above period.
During above period there will be drastic fall in day temperature and days will be colder.
Snowfall & low temp. may led to temporary disruption of surface transportation, mainly over Zojila, Mughal Road, Sadnatop, etc, he said.
Farmers are advised to Harvest their agriculture produces, fruits etc. Which are prone to snowfall & low temperature and do necessary pruning of trees and drain out excess water from Orchards, he added.
