Srinagar, Jul 17: A traffic cop was among two persons killed in a fatal mishap involving crash of multiple vehicles in Shalteng area in central Kashmir’s Srinagar locality, official sources said.
They told GNS that a load-carrier bearing number JK01U-0917, a tipper bearing number JK01K-8744 and a Maruti Car bearing number JK01H7822 were involved in a crash near Petrol Pump Maloora in Shalteng area, resulting in death of two persons and injuries to another.
The deceased traffic cop has been identified as Zahoor Ashraf resident of Pattan Baramulla and the civilian as Javid Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Maloora Srinagar. The injured person has been identified as tipper driver Mohammad Yousuf Bhat.
Earlier a police officer told that three persons had died in the incident. However it later on turned out that one among the three persons was still alive and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. (GNS)
