Officials emphasized that the enforcement drive aims to enhance road safety and ensure compliance with traffic regulations. The implementation of modern technology has allowed for online fine issuance, and vehicles are seized for violations to maintain order.

An official stated that while the enforcement drive plays a key role in regulating traffic, it is not a standalone solution to reducing accidents. “We can fine and seize vehicles, but road safety is everyone’s responsibility. It is essential for people to follow traffic rules, wear helmets, and avoid reckless driving,” he remarked.

Authorities have also been conducting awareness campaigns to educate the public on the importance of road safety and the consequences of violations. They urged commuters to cooperate and follow traffic laws for safer roads in the region.(KNO)
