Two militants were killed in a gunfight with the govt forces in Zugoo Arizal area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.
The gunfight broke out after a joint team of army’s 53RR, SOG and CRPF laid a siege around Zugoo, Arizal after receiving credible inputs about the presence of some militants in the area.
Quoting a senior police official, news agency GNS reported that two militants have been killed in the gunfight.
It said that two weapons have been recovered from the site of the gunfight.
The identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained, the report quoted the official.
The officer said that searches are going on in the area. Meanwhile, mobile Internet service has been snapped in the Budgam district.
