Two militants have been killed in an ongoing gunfight with militants in Meemender village of southern Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The gunfight erupted after a joint team of army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police launched a cordon and search operation in Meemandar on specific inputs about the presence of militants.
As forces intensified searches towards suspected spot hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter. More details are awaited.
