Three people went missing after an avalanche struck Aru Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday. However, one among the trio was rescued.
An official said that a JCB was swept away by an avalanche along with three persons during snow clearance from Aru-Pahalgam road at Gudkhamb point.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag said that one among the three was rescued while as the operation continues to trace two others.
An official said that the rescue teams and machinery were swiftly pressed into service to rescue the missing persons.
