Unknown gunmen on Thursday shot at and injured National Conference Block President Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Reports said that gunmen opened fire on Mohd Ismail (60) in Thajiwara village, leaving him injured.
He was shifted to sub-district hospital Bijbehara where from he was referred to Srinagar for specialised treatment.
National Conference vice president Omar abdullah has prayed for his speedy recovery.
