Srinagar, May 12: Water Workers Co-ordination Commitee Thursday announced hunger strike from May 17.
Committee demanded resolution of long pending demands like deputation and regularisation.
“We have already went to court for our issues and court has allowed that employees will work with PHE department but court orders are been taken for-granted,” reads the statement.
Committee said employees are working for 24 hours without any holidays. “We even have not got salary from 3 months.”
Committee has decided for 72 hours hunger from strike on May 17,if government doesn’t not fulfill genuine demands, it said.(KNO)
