Srinagar, April 9: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Tuesday said it will not allow New Delhi to succeed in its “anti-Kashmir” designs as Kashmiris for the sake of their “sacred cause of freedom” are rendering tremendous sacrifices.
Party’s chief spokesperson Rafiq Dar in a statement issued to GNS said that JKLF Europe Zone held a protest outside Indian High Commission in Brussels, Belgium against banning the party and arrest of its chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik.
Strongly reacting to home minister of India Rajnath Singh’s recent statement, Dar said Delhi by its “repressive policies” can’t make the people of J&K surrender their right to self-determination.
He further said that “BJP’s election manifesto to abrogate Article 370 and 35-A, banning local inhabitants to use the very important Jammu Srinagar national highway, putting curbs on the movement of common masses and putting behind the bars the popular leadership clearly indicates that they use it as an election stunt”.
Rafiq Dar also condemned the “ill treatment” of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and the sons of Syed Ali Geelani by NIA at its Delhi headquarters.
The spokesperson added the speakers at the JKLF Europe Zone protest termed the banning of JKLF and arrest of Yasin Malik as undemocratic and demanded immediate revocation of ban on the party and release of its chairman.
