Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) on Wednesday paid tributes to the slain militants including Bashir Ahmed of Nowpora, Sopore and his comrade Abu Samama who were killed in an encounter at Tujjar, Sopore.
In a statement issued to KNS, the LeT spokesman Dr. Abdullah Ghazanwi while quoting the outfit chief, Mahmood Shah as saying that “both the militants fought for upto 15 hours of battle with forces leading to their martyrdom. Three Indian forces personnel were killed whereas 15 have been severely injured.”
Shah said, “Today hundreds of people are ready to pick the guns of their fallen brothers. Those who still do not believe this must witness the funeral processions of freedom fighters.”
He said that “the nation jeopardizes their very lives but still observe ultimate love for their Mujahideen and attend the funeral processions in masses. Thereupon they produce salutations to the freedom fighters as they deserve.”
Shah paid thanked the nation for their ‘immense love’ and said that “it is the same brotherhood and harmony that attracts the freedom fighters to battlefields. Indian forces will continue to find sorrow and grief in their homes until the unjust and illegal occupation ends.”
