Srinagar: One-way traffic resumed on the historic Mughal road on Wednesday after remaining suspended for over 5 months due to the accumulation of snow.

The road connects Shopian in south Kashmir with Rajouri in Poonch. The road was closed in December last year following heavy snowfall and accumulation of around 5 to 8 feet snow on the 86 KM long road.

On Wednesday, traffic from Kashmir would be allowed to ply on the road and no vehicle shall be allowed to travel from the opposite direction, a traffic police official said.
