These steps are nothing but a mere frustration of New Delhi which has failed to break the re¬solve of people of Kashmir.”

Srinagar: Slamming the police action of getting Jammu Kashmir Liberation from chief (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik and his associates booked for “attempt to murder”, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on Friday said “all these steps are being taken under a well-planned conspiracy to break the resolve of people and the resistance leadership”.
In a statement, TeH chief stated: “These steps are nothing but a mere frustration of New Delhi which has failed to break the re¬solve of people of Kashmir.”
“Arresting resistance leaders and lodging them in jails to muzzle the movement for the right to self-determination was tried in the past,” he said, “but failed to yield results for Delhi, and now same old methods are being employed which are destined to fail.”
Sehrai further said “the authorities in Delhi through its military might seem desperate to dampen our spirits. However all the ploys by them will culminate in their defeat. We will never succumb to any pressure and will take the movement to its logical end”.
He said, “Despite unabated killings, showering bullets and pellets on public gatherings, the government of India has failed to break the resolve and commitment of people.”
The statement further said that Sehrai has expressed his grief over the demise of mother of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat worker Ab.Rehmaan Tantray.
