Srinagar, May 21 : Most of the exit polls predict that PDP will not be able to secure even a single seat in Jammu and Kashmir. The Times Now-VMR exit polls have predicted that BJP is going to retain 2 seats whereas National Conference (NC) and Congress combine will secure 4 seats in the northernmost state of India. The exit polls have predicted that BJP and PDP voting share will be 30.6% and 10% respectively.
According to the News Nation exit poll, the BJP is likely to bag 33% vote share and the Congress may secure 28% vote share. Regional parties, NC and PDP, are expected to fetch a vote share of 14% and 11%, respectively.
The regional parties of J&K joined hands with Congress to counter the rising BJP and they did not field their candidates fearing the division of vote that would benefit the BJP. But the exit polls show that the BJP is still going to win both seats of Jammu. At the national level, the exit polls are predicting the return of Narender Modi led NDA Government at the centre.
