Baramulla: The hailstorm wreaked havoc in many villages of Sheeri tehsil of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
The hailstorm caused huge damage to crops and vegetable in Sheeri tehsil including Nowgam Kandi, Kawar Bala, Kawar Payeen, Chandoosa, Shumlaran, Sultanpora Bandi, Laridora, Dodhbugh, Murin, Tangwari and Rajpora villages, leaving farmers in distress over expected losses.
The orchardists in district told that the hailstorm caused damage to crops. Farmers have appealed the authorities to compensate the loss.
