Seeks apology from Raj Bhawan
Srinagar: Reacting sharply to the “Raj Bhawan diktat” of first seeking induction of religious scriptures of oneparticular community in the educational system of the state and then revoking the orders, the Kashmir Economic Alliance Chairman Mr Haji Muhammad Yasin Khan has said that the “Hindutvatisation of education is intolerable.”
In a statement Khan who also heads the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation said “It is unfortunate that instead of making the Raj Bhawan take measures that would lead the state towards sustainable peace, the Governor’s Advisors playing at the hands of RSS to further the crisis in the embattled state through communal agenda.”
Khan said the controversy is not over just because the orders have been revoked.
“Why where such orders issued in the first place?. Religious scriptures of Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and Budhists were not added when JK happens to be a Muslim majority state. The government order of Education Department reflects that Raj Bhawan is working on Hindutva agenda, which is not tolerable this conflict-ridden region,” Khan said.
Seeking explanation for reasons behind the orders , Khan said the people of Kashmir were being pushed to more of crises through such nefarious designs.
He appealed Governor SP Malik to personally look into the matter.
