Clashes broke out between the protesters and the government forces in Hajin town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after the news spread about the killing of a local militant in an overnight gunfight in Mujgund area of Srinagar.
Reports said that groups of youth took to streets and staged protests soon after the news of the killing of 14-year-old militant Mudasir Ahmad Parray reached his native Hajin area of Bandipora district.

The forces, according to witnesses, resorted to tear gas shelling and pellet firing to disperse the protesting youth.
Parray was killed along with two associates in an 18-hour-long gunfight with the government forces in Mujgund area on the outskirts of Srinagar.
Five forces’ personnel were wounded in the firefight that ended today morning, reports said.
