Seeks Gh. Qadir Bhat’s release languished in Jail since two decades

Condemns PSA on Yaseen Malik and advocate Zahid Ali

Kupwara 07 March: Asking Mehbooba Mufti not to use ban on Jamat-I-Islami and other repressive measures as a cover to justify her anti-people and anti-Kashmir alliance with BJP, AIP President Er. Rasheed has said that main stream parties have yet not been able to give the desired response to the high handedness and arrogance of New Delhi.

While interacting with the people of various sections at Kupwara today Er. Rasheed said “It hardly makes a difference whether Mehbooba Mufti realizes the fact that PDP’s alliance with BJP was like stabbing people of the state from the back but it doesn’t suit the stature of Mehbooba Mufti who has been Chief Minister of the state to make shameful remarks that because of her alliance with BJP, New Delhi could not implement its anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim agenda.

She needs to understand that Kashmiris have stood to their commitment against all odds and even Indra Abdullah accord could not break their will for finding peaceful resolution to Kashmir dispute. Rather trying to hide her party’s act of surrendering everything to BJP, she should collect the courage and confess that PDP’s owning BJP has given New Delhi and right wing forces courage and direction to bulldoze Kashmiris.

While Mehbooba Mufti has every right to take to streets against New Delhi’s suppression but she should not dare to take any moral ground or try to justify her shameful alliance with BJP. If she was really told to ban Jamat-I-Islami during her tenure, one has a right to ask her that why didn’t she gave up the alliance and exposed BJP’s real face then. Trying to cry victim, when thrown to dustbin makes no difference and will increase hate against PDP in masses. It is her choice to apologies for PDP’s Himalayan mistakes rather making joke of herself”.

Er. Rasheed also visited Gushi to offer his condolences to family of Gh. Qadir Bhat whose mother had died recently and he is lodged in Jail since more than two decades. On the occasion Er. Rasheed sought release of Gh. Qadir Bhat without further delay and said that while PM Narindra Modi claims his fight not to be against Kashmiris but how can the state be so brutal to deny his release despite the fact he lost his wife, father and mother while he was in jail and could not even attend last rites of any of them.

Er. Rasheed condemned slapping of PSA on Yaseen Malik and advocate Zahid Ali and said that such measures deserve condemnation and should make people of India realize that New Delhi is chocking space for all genuine political voices.

Er. Rasheed also condemned thrashing and assaulting two Kashmiri vendors in Lucknow by the fringe groups and said that such incidents negate PM Modi’s claim that New Delhi’s fight is not against Kashmiris. He added that why should not these goons be called Hindu terrorists who have the full patronage of state apiarist.
