BJP all set to control 5 Muncipal Committee in Pampore

PAMPORE, October 04: BJP won all the five seats in Pampore Municipal Committee unopposed as the two major main stream political parties NC and PDP have not participated in the Municipal elections while the Congress and other smaller parties did not field their candidates for Pampore Municipal Committee making ground clear for BJP candidates to sweep the elections from Municipal Committee Pampore.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to have its control on 5 seats in Municipal Committee in Pampore town.

Five candidates including two female member from BJP were declared winners unopposed in the Municipal Committee elections in Pampore, BJP vice president Pulwama told.

Returning Officer 17 , Pampore has issued certificates of victory in favour of BJP candidates and elections for Pampore Municipal Committee are over.
A local Independent candidate has also joined the BJP.

According to officials reports, 5 including 3 migrant Pandits and two local residents had filed their nomination papers in Pampore town in which four belonged to BJP while the 5th one had filed nomination papers as an independent candidate.

Returing officer Pampore issued certificate to all the five candates on Wednesday at R&B office Pampore in presance of BJP vice district Pulwama Mohammad Lateef Bhat.
DC Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Dar confirmed that, 5 Candidates in Pampore have won as there is no opposition candidate in fray.

Meanwhile, No candidate filed nominations from Muncipal Committee Khrew, reports said.
