Says ‘killings in Kashmir has to be stopped, inquiry ordered must be conducted seriously’
Srinagar, Dec 15: Condemning the civilian killings in Pulwama on Saturday, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron and Member of Parliament (MP), Muzaffar Hussain Beigh on Sunday said that killings in Kashmir must be stopped forthwith and the people of Kashmir must not be used for the politics by the governments including Indian and Pakistan.
Beigh while talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that it is the high time for the two countries to sit and stop the killings once for all.
“Government of India should also take measures to put an end to the civilian killings in Kashmir,” he said, adding that inquiry ordered by the Governor Satya Pal Malik should be conducted seriously those involved in the killings should be brought to book.
He added that compensation should be given to the families who lost their beloved ones and also to those who sustained injuries in yesterday’s incident at Pulwama.
Beigh said that forces must exercise maximum restraint on the encounter sites and should focus on surrender policy.
He said political parties irrespective of their ideologies should unite and insist both the countries including India and Pakistan to end the killings in Kashmir.
