Pays glowing tributes to Karbala martyrs, asks people to pursue the path of Karbala martyrs
United Jehad Council (UJC) chairman Syed Salahudin has paid glowing tributes to Karbala martyrs on the eve of Youm-e-Ashoora,
In an emailed statement issued , UJC Spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain said that UJC chairman Syed Salahudin while addressing a conclave called for tributing martyrs of Karbala said “the history created by martyrs of Karbala will continue to guide Muslims till the day of final judgment.
Calling upon the people to completely boycott the proposed municipal and panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Salahudin said “India is trying to get undue mileage from elections and history is witness to the fact that people elected in these elections prove more dangerous than the occupational forces in the state.”
Saying that history won’t forgive those participating in these elections, UJC chairman said “people contesting elections will have to face the larger court of general public as criminals one day or the other.”
Saying that people of Kashmir too are following the path of Karbala martyrs, Syed Salahudin said “the people of Kashmir are engaged in a legitimate and constitutional struggle for accomplishing their rights. Here in Kashmir every morning and evening reminds us about the Karbala martyrdom when occupational forces kill children, elderly persons and youth and people in equal numbers lose their eyesight and hundreds are pushed into jails.”
Asking people to keep in mind the spirit of these sacrifices every movement, Salahudin said “respecting these sacrifices is the duty of one and all engaged in the freedom struggle of Kashmir.”
Condemning the use of force on muharram processions in Kashmir, Salahudin said “use of force won’t take away the spirit of Karbala martyrs from the hearts of Kashmiri people.”
