In response to the potential onset of Snowfall, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has taken proactive measures to ensure the readiness of all personnel and equipment to effectively address any snow-related challenges across the city.
Under the directive of Commissioner SMC, all men and machinery have been kept on standby to tackle any eventuality that may arise as a result of the anticipated snowfall. The Corporation has 4 Zonal Control Rooms connected to Central 24×7 Control Room at SMC Headquarters Karan Nagar. Commissioner SMC emphasized the Corporation’s dedication to ensure the safety and well-being of the citizens of Srinagar, stating, “Our top priority is to minimize disruption and ensure the smooth functioning of essential services during adverse weather conditions.
Commissioner, SMC directs concerned officers to take care of infrastructure developed under Srinagar Smart City Ltd (SSCL) viz Lal Chowk Plaza, Polo View High Street, River Front, Lake Front, NFR & all footpaths.
