Jammu, Nov 04: A timer-based Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was on Saturday evening found inside a Tiffin box in Jammu area, officials said.
Police said that at around 05:30 PM, an information was received that some suspicious object was lying on Sidhra Narwal highway stretch in Jammu near a police checkpoint.
Over this, police said, a team of police along with Police Component Jammu, Dog squad rushed to the spot. “On search of suspicious material, it was found to be a Tiffin Box timer based IED weighing around two kilograms, which has now been taken into possession after successful detonation,” police said.
Police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation is going on.(KNO)
