Unknown persons on Friday evening hurled a petrol bomb at the residence of a Congress candidate for ULB polls in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A source said that a petrol bomb was hurled at the residence of Irshad Ahmad Wani who is the candidate for ULB (Urban local bodies) polls for the Congress party in Hajin town.
However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the attack.
Senior Superintendent of police Bandipora, Sheikh Zulfikar Azad said that they have sent a police party on the spot to verify the facts.
Wani is only candidate from Ward No. 2 and 5 for the upcoming ULB polls.
