Jammu, May 17: Bagh-e-Bahu Police has solved kidnapping case of a minor girl by recovering the girl from a 5-star hotel of Jammu City and arresting her alleged kidnappers.

Police sources said that a 16-17 year old girl of Raika area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu went missing on May 13 after which her parents lodged a written complaint of her missing in Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu.

Acting on the complaint, a case of kidnapping was registered at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu as the girl was stated to be minor. Accordingly, SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Inspector Arti Thakur constituted several police teams to trace the missing girl.

“Last night, an input was received by Bagh-e-Bahu Police that a minor girl is living with two men in a 5-star hotel of Jammu City for last 3 days, following which a police team led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu raided the hotel,” sources added.

They said during raid, the kidnapped minor girl was recovered from a room of the Hotel. “Two alleged kidnappers identified as a Probationary Sub Inspector of J&K Police namely Sardar Ali (presently posted at DPL Ramban) and a property dealer namely Muzaffar, both residents of Bajalta (Jammu), were also found in the room with the girl and they were arrested,” police sources revealed.

Sources said that after conducting medical check-up of the girl, she was handed over to her family. “During initial investigation of the case, it has come to fore that the girl went missing earlier also and then, she was found with four men, who had allegedly kidnapped her,” sources said, adding, further investigation of the case was underway.
