Advisors, Div Com, DC visits spot, security beefed up

Jammu, March 07: Eighteen civilians have been injured in a grenade blast at bus stand Jammu on Thursday afternoon. The injured have been shifted to Government Medical College Jammu.  

This is second such attack in the area in recent times.  

According to KNO correspondent Inspector General of Police Jammu Division M K Sinha said that they are collecting evidence and manhunt has been launched. 

“18 civilians have been injured and have been shifted to GMC.  The grenade was probably lobbed from outside and rolled towards the bus,” He said.  

Asked that its second such attack in the area and are they suspecting anyone and was there an input he said that the investigation has been launched.  

“There are always general inputs but had no specific input on this.  Evidence is being collected and we will soon nab the culprits, ” He said. Sources said that five of the injured are in critical conditions.  

Vijay Kumar and KK Sharma,  both advisors to governor visited the spot to take stock of situation.  

Deputy commissioner and Divisional commissioner also visited the spot.  

Meanwhile mobile internet services in the area has been suspended. Officials said that security in the area has been beefed up post grenade blast.
