31 more recover, total recoveries 247

Srinagar: Twenty five fresh cases of Covid-19  were reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday taking the tally of total number of positive cases to 639.

Jammu and Kashmir government Spokesman in a tweet said that out the total number of cases, 384 are active cases of which 378 are in Kashmir and 6 in Jammu adding that 31 more Covid-19 patients had recovered on Friday.

“Recoveries overtake new cases- 25 New Cases, 31 Recoveries; Total Cases now 639. Active Cases-384 (Jammu-6 Kashmir -378),” tweeted Kansal. 

Pertinently, with the recovery of 31 more patients, the total number of patients who have recovered in Jammu and Kashmir stands at 247 including 51 from Jammu division and 196 from Kashmir division besides that 8 persons including 7 from Kashmir and one from Jammu division have died so for due to covid-19

Officials said that out of 25 new cases 11 were tested positive at SKIMS Lab while as 14 were tested positive at CD hospital Lab. Among the new 25 cases, 12 are from Anantnag, 06 from Kupwara, 02 each from Srinagar and Shopian and one each from Budgam, Bandipora and Baramulla. 

Dr G H Yatoo Nodal officer for covid-19 at SKIMS said that out of 642 samples tested at SKIMS laboratory, 11 were found positive, adding that among them 06 are from Kupwara, 02 from shopian and one each from Budgam, Baramulla and Bandipora. 

Nodal officer for covid-19 at GMC Srinagar Dr Salim Khan told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that out of 346 samples tested at CD laboratory, 14 were tested positive, among them 12 are from Anantnag and two from Srinagar

Officials from Ganderbal said that 8 patients from the district were discharged after complete recovery and now there is only a single active positive patient in the district.

Officials from Shopian said Hirpora village witnessed two more cases on Friday has taking toll of positive cases to 49. Ist case was reported on April 08 in Hirpora village and total number of positive cases in district are now 74 including 17 recoveries

Officials from Anantnag said that among 12 new cases, 6 are from Kharpora Larnoo, 5 from Tailwani Achabal and one from Marhama Sangam and total cases in district are now 95 including one death. Officials from district said that among 12 new cases, 5 are male while as 7 are females. 

Among 7 females, there is 8 year old girl from and 60 year mentally  unsound man from Kharpora Larnoo, they said adding that among 5 persons from Tailwani 04 are from single family. They further added that there are a lady from Sangam area is the first case in the area. 

As per officials figures 128 positive cases including one death and 35 recoveries are from Bandipora, 95 positive cases including one death are from are Anantnag, 91  including two deaths and 69 recoveries are from Srinagar, 85  including 26 recoveries and 3 deaths are from Baramulla, 74 including 17 recoveries are from Shopian, 55 including 19 recoveries are from Kupwara, 21 including 11 recoveries are from Budgam, 14 including thirteen recoveries are from Ganderbal, 11 including 02 recoveries are from Kulgam and 07 including 03 recoveries are from Pulwama. 

In Jammu division, all 26 patients have recovered in Jammu district , 20 including one death and 17 recoveries are from Udhampur, 4 who all have recovered are from Samba and 4  including three recoveries are from Rajouri , one from Kishtiwar who has also recovered and one each active case from Ramban, Kuthua and Reasi. 

As per the daily information bulletin 71,837 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while as 8109 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 384 persons are in hospital isolation while as 185 persons are under hospital quarantine. 

According to the bulletin, 54,721 persons have completed surveillance period and 8,430 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 21,695 samples are available. 

Out of 21,695 the number of samples tested negative stands at 21056  while as /639 have been tested positive, among them 384 are active and 247 persons have recovered and 8 persons have died—(KNO)
