The armies of India and Pakistan on Tuesday exchanged fire along the Line of Control in Machil sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, an official said.
An official said the Pakistan troopers targeted army posts of 4 Jak Li along Line of Control (LoC) in Machil.
“The Pakistan army started firing at 2:45 pm and continued till 03:15 pm. The Indian army responded the fire strongly,” he said.
The official said that there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the firing.
On December 21 (Friday), army’s two Junior Commissioned Officers were killed in a sniper attack by Pakistan troops at Jumgund along the LoC in the frontier district.
