Jammu: On the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, the Municipal Corporation has declared a holiday on September 23. The resolution of leave has been passed unanimously in the Municipal Council in Veerwar.

All councilors endorsed the proposal to raise their hands by voicing their vacations. Dogra society has long been demanding for a vacancy in the state.

Rallies and demonstrations were also taken out. But this demand of doctors was not fulfilled. This made them angry. Veerwar is being seen as a one-step victory in the direction of a holiday in the municipal passage of the resolution of the holiday.

BJP councilor Narottam Sharma of Ward Number Three proposed to leave the Maharaja’s birth anniversary before the House. He said that demand from the people of Jammu and the people of Maharaja Hari Singh’s family for the holidays has been long since then. It is believed that people sitting in the House and people outside the House could have forgotten the decision of merger with the center of the Maharaja, while many internal and external powers were against this decision. He was a progressive and visionary king who created many laws in the direction of welfare of the people, which led to significant changes in the lifestyle of the people. He demanded to declare state holiday on September 23 so that he could be paid tribute.

While discussing the proposal of the BJP councilor, all the members rose above the bond of party and religion and supported it. On the opinion of the members, Mayor and Presidency President Chandramohan Gupta said that the municipal corporation can not declare state holidays, but he can leave his holiday here. He cleared the proposal to leave the Maharaja’s birth anniversary on September 23 in the municipal council unanimously. The members expressed their happiness as soon as the proposal was passed.
