‘Remain Alert, Don’t Give Chance To Turn Vulnerability Into Disaster’

Srinagar, July 30: Weatherman on Friday forecast “brief spell” of heavy shower at some places in J&K and Ladakh, warning that it may trigger flash flood, mudslide, landslide etc. Overall, light rain has been predicted today.    

“Overcast conditions with light rain at most places of both likely to continue throughout the day in both J&K and Ladakh,” an official of the MeT department said here.                

“Warning: A brief spell of heavy shower may occur at some places which  may trigger flash flood, mudslide, landslide etc,” he said, adding, “Accordingly, people are requested to remain alert and move away from places vulnerable to such events and don’t give chance to turn vulnerability into disaster”.
