The Srinagar-Jammu highway was restored on Wednesday for one way traffic after remaining shut for seven consecutive days.

Reports said that thousands of Kashmir bound trucks were allowed to cross the Jawahar-Tunnel today morning. The vehicles were allowed to move from Jammu to Srinagar but not the other way to ensure the safety of travellers.

Hundreds of vehicles stranded at different places in Jammu and Udhampur were allowed to move after the landslides at different places on the highway were cleared.
