Reasi: Under mysterious circumstances, a teenaged girl committed suicide by shooting herself with a 12 bore rifle at the house of her maternal uncle in Maman Kote in Chassana area, here today.
Reports said that Rekha Devi, age about 16/17 years, daughter of Inder Singh of Nandkote Chassana, presently residing at Maman Kote in the house of her maternal uncle namely Chamail Singh, who is serving in Indian Army and presently posted in Haryana, shot herself with his 12 bore rifle and died on spot .
On being informed, a Police Party reached the spot and shifted the dead body to hospital for legal formalities and further investigations.
There was no apparent reason for the cause of provocation behind the extreme step while Police has registered a case in this regard at Police Station Chassana.
