A local court in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district has extended the judicial remand of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi chief Abdul Samad Inquilabi till October 10.

Inquilabi was arrested for his alleged anti-national activities questioning states accession with Union of India on September 20, from his house.

Immediately after his remand was extended he was shifted to Central Jail, Srinagar.

Inquilabi according to his brother has filed a case in a local court at Bandipora, demanding Rs ten crore compensation for detaining him without any justification as his detention under Public Safety Act (PSA) was quashed by different courts.
