Srinagar, Mar 21: Locals found a dead body of an abandoned newborn baby near Railway track, Gundbal Kenihama, this afternoon, after which police were informed.
Body of baby boy and shifted to CHC Chattergam for medico-legal formalities. Local sources said that prima facie seems the baby had been abandoned after the birth.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigations, reports added. (ANH)
